Harvest Festival is on Sunday 2 October. Colin asks the singers to take part and depending on the response he will choose music accordingly. There are two rehearsals: Friday 30 September at 6.30pm and Sunday 9.15am, both in church; the Service is at 10.00. PLEASE let Colin know yea or nay as soon as possible if you are able to take part with the given rehearsals. As 't'will be so jolly'.
Brian Sanders will give an illustrated talk about his new book 'Return of Evacuee, a Postwar Childhood' on 12th October at the Gatehouse at 8pm.
Many of you will remember the visit of John Walters from the English Spirit Distillery in March. He’s back in Littlebury with his range of spirits for tasting to raise money for the Friends of Holy Trinity Church on Friday, 14 October - 7.30 - in the church (don’t worry about the drop in temperature! - the church will be warm)
Tickets: £10 includes a glass of wine and numerous tastings!
Jean Cowell describes the service: 'It was very informal and so interesting, a lot of thought had been given to the choice of hymns , psalm and prayers all of which had ‘bell’ contents; we even sang Ding Dong Merrily on High; albeit a few months early! The bell ringers took such an active part and read poems with accompanying visuals.
